CALL FOR PAPERS: 2011 Ridley Aqua-Feed Australian Prawn and Barramundi Conference, August 3-5, 2011 - Sydney, Australia

Australian Prawn Farmers Association together with Australian Barramundi Farmers Association will hold the 2011 Ridley Aqua-Feed Australian Prawn and Barramundi Conference at Dockside Conference Centre, Cockle Bay Wharf, Darling Harbour, Sydney Australia, August 3-5, 2011. The Conference and Trade Show will be held on August 3 - 4, with members-only meetings on Friday August, 5.

The combined Prawn and Barramundi industries contribute approximately $75 million to the Australian economy and are world class, sustainable farms. The Trade Exhibition provides an opportunity for exposure to both the prawn and barramundi sectors – owners, farm managers, hatchery managers, farm employees, researchers and government agencies. This year’s Trade Exhibition will provide up to 15 trade booths.

The Dockside Conference Centre is close to Sydney’s CBD, the Sydney Fish Market and Darling Harbour.

There will be a heavy focus on current or emerging global research and technology that could benefit farms, enhances farm performance, sustainability, environmental or production and ultimately encourages and guides enterprises to remain profitable. The conference will provide an opportunity for presentation of new work and results to an influential and informed audience.

Call for Papers
The conference program committee calls for papers from interested parties seeking to deliver to the audience up to date research and information in the following aquaculture industry themes:
Breeding and genetics
Juvenile production
Growout
Processing
Marketing
Workforce training
Governance and Management
Research Frontiers
Environment
Climate Change
Energy Efficiency
Biodiversity
Duration of each presentation to be strictly 20 minutes including 5 minutes for question time.

Submitting authors are required to include a brief biography highlighting professional experience, in no more than one paragraph.

The conference committee will evaluate full papers, or if summary is presented may request more detailed information.

Please note that presenters must be registered conference delegates and pay the appropriate registration fee.
