The Collective Knowledge Program (CKP) partners have been developing a series of microlearning modules on feed safety culture. The second microlearning will focus on feed safety hazards and can be found at the GMP+ Academy from May 25, 2022. This module highlights the most important causes of feed safety hazards and the impact of employees’ behavior on those factors.

A microlearning module shares basic knowledge about animal feed in an accessible way. Companies can use them as a refresher course or train new employees. The modules last no more than ten minutes, can be completed in the workplace at any time and contain lots of practical examples.

Feed safety culture

The microlearning modules are designed for anyone who works in the feed industry, from cultivation to sale. The most important goal of the series is to raise awareness and teach participants what it means to take feed safety into account. Through various exercises, cases and examples, the course gets them to reflect on their actions and inspire them to consciously contribute to their organizations’ feed safety cultures.

Whereas the first microlearning focuses on the definition and importance of feed safety, the second discusses the causes of feed safety hazards. After completing these two models, the participants will have an idea of the concept of “feed safety”. That knowledge is of great value for the rest of the series, in which they will learn about things like feed safety culture and feed safety roles and responsibilities within organizations. The microlearning modules are available in English.

A special partnership

This series of microlearning modules is being developed in partnership with the GMP+ Academy’s CKP partners. Feed experts from big names in the industry (AB Agri, De Heus, Trouw Nutrition and Veravis) combine their knowledge and experience in order to share information about feed safety culture with the world.
