Meihua Group opened a 300,000-ton lysine facility in China. The project officially broke ground in March 2021 and was put into production in November by Jilin Meihua, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Meihua Group, producing the first batch of 70% lysine.

The daily processing capacity of starch can reach 2,200 tons per day, the fermentation can achieve four batches at full batch operation, and the extraction rate can reach 500 tons per day. “This is unique in the industry and for Meihua. It can be said that it has set a historical record,” the company said.

The completion of the project allows the company to reach the million-ton level of lysine production capacity and is part of Meihua’s long-term strategic goals.
