Tina Lawton is an international business leader with more than 25 years of experience in life sciences and adjacent industries. Throughout her career, she has engaged a wide variety of stakeholders to achieve shared business objectives and achieve growth in both traditional, startup and digital environments
Isabelle Toledano-Koutsouris is a senior executive with over 20 years’ international finance experience at top-tier investment banks. Isabelle has extensive expertise in international capital markets, most recently having run the debt capital markets group, and later creating the private capital markets group at UBS in EMEA.
“With these three new appointments, Ÿnsect continues in its ambition to accelerate the consumption of protein and plants across the globe. We are delighted to now include Shankar, Tina and Isabelle as critical parts of our executive leadership team, particularly as we continue to strengthen our international expansion efforts,” explained Antoine Hubert, president and CEO of Ÿnsect.
New business units
As Ÿnsect prepares for 2022, the company’s recently created business units will play an important role in growing the company’s current contract portfolio of $130 million. Among these newly created business units is Ynsect Human Nutrition & Health, previously Protifarm, now fully integrated into the business.
Benjamin Armenjon becomed general manager of Ÿnsect’s Animal Nutrition & Health team, which includes clients such as Skretting, Fungfeed and Bernie’s. Since he joined Ÿnsect in 2014 as chief sales & development officer, Armenjon has successfully run the sales of the company all over the world. Before joining Ÿnsect, he held various R&D, production, quality and sales positions in companies such as Diana Pet Food and Kemin Nutrisurance.
Tom Mohrmann was appointed as general manager of Ÿnsect’s Human Nutrition & Health team and continues working on human food clients.
Executive committee and board of directors
Two additional divisions are part of the new executive committee. Jean-Gabriel Levon, one of the co-founders of Ÿnsect, leads the Impact Department while Nicolas Desombre leads the Digital Department. Both divisions are at the core of Ÿnsect’s business, driving goals and serving its mission to feed the planet with healthy, high-quality and sustainable products.
The new organization is formed under the supervision of Ÿnsect Board of Directors, chaired by Elisabeth Fleuriot. With more than 20 years of experience as president and CEO within global food companies across Europe, the USA, Asia, including Danone, Yoplait, Kellogg’s, and Thai Union, Fleuriot has led companies in both developed and emerging markets and is passionate about sustainability and multicultural team engagement.
“2021 has been a great year, and we have moved forward faster than expected, especially with the acquisition of Protifarm in the Netherlands. Today, Ÿnsect has three sites, including two in production, and has expectations to hire 500 new employees by 2023. With strong growth on the horizon, it was essential to strengthen our organization to better cope with our acceleration and growth,” said Antoine Hubert, president and CEO of Ÿnsect.
