New Ownership at Hamlet Protein A/S, Denmark

Oelmühle Hamburg AG, an affiliated company of the American ADM company, sold its 50% share in Hamlet Protein A/S to management
co-shareholders, Managing Director Ole Kaae Hansen and Sales Director Stephen Paul Rose on 28 February 2006.

Ole Kaae Hansen now holds approximately 96% of the company’s shares (personally as well as in holding companies) and Stephen Paul Rose approximately 4% (via holding companies).

In connection with this transaction Stephen Paul Rose and company lawyer Poul Erik Andersen, LLM, join the Hamlet Protein Board, the latter as Chairman of the Board.

The Horsens factory has, since it started in 1993, achieved a leading position within soya protein for specialty feed in more than 50 countries. This year’s turnover is expected to exceed € 30 million.

In order to cater for  increasing market demand, expansion of the existing manufacturing facility in Horsens as well as satellite production abroad is under consideration.

The transaction is considered a signifi cant step in the company’s plans for continued global expansion via innovation and strategic alliances.
