Diamond V Mills Research Program Announced

Diamond V Mills has announced their continued support of innovative research through the Diamond V Research Program, a grant program available to researchers focused on improving the use of yeast cultures for animal production. This is the second year Diamond V Mills is offering the program.

Researchers from both private and public research institutions are encouraged to apply. The recipients will receive a maximum of $30,000 each year for a two-year period for their research.

"We're pleased to be able to offer support of research that unlocks new opportunities to improve animal nutrition," says Dr. Ilkyu Yoon, Senior Research Manager for Diamond V. "The program generated considerable interest in the first year, and we are excited about the new research we will be able to support through this year's program."

Applications will be accepted to December 31, 2007. Announcement of the grant recipients will be made on February 28, 2008.

Funded research may use either in vivo or in vitro research models. Target species will include dairy and beef cattle, swine, poultry, aquaculture, horses, pets and small ruminants. Research in specific areas of emphasis is encouraged. Visit the Web site at www.diamondv.com/dvrp for more information on these topics.

The selection of recipients will be based on topic relevance, researcher's qualifications, originality and feasibility of research, and other factors as determined by Diamond V Mills.
