Donau Soja launched a new CO₂ calculator to help companies assess the environmental and economic impact of replacing conventional soy with Donau Soja or Europe Soya.

The CO₂ calculator offers a science-based estimate of greenhouse gas reductions and cost savings based on the typical European soy market mix. It compares emissions from conventional imports (e.g., Brazil, USA) with Donau Soja-certified soy and shows how your switch could contribute to achieving your Scope 3 reduction targets.

Built on data from Agri-footprint 6.3 and Blonk Sustainability, the tool offers a valuable input for the company’s climate strategy, aligned with CSRD and SBTi requirements, including estimating emissions reductions, comparing offsetting costs, demonstrating credible climate action, and building resilient, traceable supply chains.

“The calculator provides an initial estimate of potential CO₂ and cost savings based on typical market data validated by scientific sources. For more specific assessments, our team is happy to support you to build sustainable soy supply chains,” Donau Sja said.
