First Peruvian fishing anchovy season ends with 84% of quota

The Peruvian Ministry of Production (Produce) reported that the first 2022 anchovy fishing season in the North-Central region ended with 2,340,000 tons caught.

The Peruvian Ministry of Production (Produce) reported that the first 2022 anchovy fishing season in the North-Central region ended with 2,340,000 tons caught.

The first anchovy fishing season was carried out from May 4 to July 24 and registered a landing of 84.06% of the assigned fishing quota (2.79 million tons).

The registered landings are lower than the ones in 2021 (2,461,568 tons).
