The Latin American event of the World Aquaculture Society (WAS) in 2023 will be held in Panama City, Panama, from April 18-21 at the Hotel Riu Plaza with the support of Promtur Panama and the Water Resources Authority Aquatics of Panama – ARAP.
Latin American and Caribbean Aquaculture 2023 (LACQUA23) is an annual conference and the most relevant in Latin America for the exchange of knowledge, technology, innovation, and the building of professional networks. ASPAC, the Panamanian Association of Aquaculturists, as well as the Ministry of Agricultural Development of Panama, will participate in the conference. Companies from Latin America, the United States, Europe, Africa and Asia will participate, with more than 2,000 expected participants.

There will also be multiple presentations, work meetings, a poster gallery, technical visits to farms, and several spaces dedicated to the exchange of ideas among aquaculture professionals from all over the region.
Academic and technical sessions will focus on topics such as aquaculture health, nutrition and food, genetics, production systems, and innovation for species such as shrimp, tilapia and marine fish. Abstract submission is open and the deadline is January 31, 2023. Find more information here.
