Call for Papers: Seafood Traceability – from ocean to plate / pond to plate
Presentations are sought for a special session entitled, Seafood Traceability – from ocean to plate / pond to plate, to be held at the Aquaculture America conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, February 28 - March 3, 2011.
The demand for seafood traceability from the point of origin to the consumer’s dinner plate is becoming a fact of life in the marketplace today. What is your company doing to address this important issue?
In this special session presentations are sought from all perspectives in the whole value chain, from producers and processors to food manufacturers, logistics suppliers, wholesalers and retailers, as well as suppliers of inputs to the various members of the value chain, such as pharmaceuticals, ingredients, and packaging.
The purpose of this special session is to provide a discussion forum for all things “traceable” in the aquaculture value chain so that you can get up to speed on this important topic.
Speakers are being solicited for the development of an agenda to submit to the conference organizers. The deadline for submitting a list of presenters and presentation titles is right now, so time is of the essence. Presenters’ abstracts will be due shortly thereafter (Sept. 30, 2010). If you are planning to make a presentation, a prompt response is vital. Please provide your name, affiliation, and a tentative title for your presentation.
If you are interested in making a presentation in New Orleans or have additional questions about the proposed special session or the Aquaculture America conference, please contact Dave Conley via the contact information provided below.
