Expo Pesca & AcuiPeru - November 10-12, 2011 - Lima, Peru
Expo Pesca & AcuiPeru is the only international event specialized in fishing and aquaculture that has been organized in Peru every two years since 2003.
Exhibitors are suppliers of equipment, supplies and services for fishing and aquaculture, while visitors are fishing and aquaculture businessmen from all over the world
This event also presents fresh, frozen, dried salt and canned fish and seafood, as well as fishmeal and fish oil to international importers, and features new products and brands.
The Peruvian market of fishing and aquaculture is very big and competitive. Peru imported fishery products worth US$90 Million in 2005.
Peru has a generally open market. There are no significant barriers or limitations on imports and foreign currency is freely exchanged. Import of fishing and aquaculture equipment, as well as seafood are subject to a 12 percent tariff levied on the CIF value (Cost, Insurance and Freight) of merchandise, plus 19 percent General Sales Tax (IGV).However, the samples for exhibition in this event can be temporarily imported into Peru without paying import duties or without presenting Bank Drafts.
A technical conference program will be also held during the frame of Expo Pesca & AcuiPeru and it is addressed to Directors, Managers, Assistant Managers, Supervisors and specialized personnel of the industry of Fishing and Aquaculture. It is expected around 14,000 visitors from 25 countries will visit this grand expo.
