The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will host the 2012 Coolwater Fish Culture Workshop at the Holiday Inn located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. This workshop is a place to discuss the culture of coolwater fishes with your colleagues from many state and federal agencies, universities, and vendors from the private sector.
Submit your abstract for a paper on coolwater fish culture by December 30, 2012 (extended) to: alfred.kaas@wi.gov Poster presentations are welcome and will be accommodated.
Abstracts received so far:
The development of cool and warm water captive broodstock plans to address biosecurity and sound genetic principles – Genoa NFH;
Current Research in the Lake Sturgeon Restoration Program at the Genoa Hatchery;
Tennessee fry transportation and pond stocking tank;
Wisconsin based coolwater efforts 3-5 presentations on walleye, sturgeon, and other species;
- and several Vendor presentations on “state of the art” fish culture feeds, services and equipment.
