Animal production is an increasingly demanding sector and needs to adapt to new market conditions to remain economically competitive. Fish is one of the most traded food products worldwide and its production has increased significantly in recent years. According to the FAO, the production of this foodstuff reached 158 million tons in 2012, equivalent to a world consumption per capita of 19.2 kg/year. “Thus, we believe that there is a need to debate the issue,” Aquasoja said. The company is the official sponsor of the II Aquaculture Days that will take place on February 24 in digital format.
Tiago Aires, technical director of Aquasoja, will be one of the speakers who will present the topic How commercial diets for fish are made. Commercial director Nuno Medina will also address The markets, nutritional options for each market and the circular economy.
The II Aquaculture Days, organized by APEZ (Portuguese Association of Zootechnical Engineering) and the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), will take place on February 24, at 2 pm CET. Register here.
