The Global Aquaculture Alliance’s (GAA) Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) division is holding its next BAP auditor training course at the Santiago Marriott Hotel in Santiago, Chile, from April 7 to 12, 2019. New auditors, returning auditors and industry observers are encouraged to participate.
The course will cover the new seafood processing standards as well as the BAP standards for farms (including finfish and crustaceans, mollusks, and salmon), hatcheries and feed mills. The course will be taught by Greg Brown, BAP program integrity manager; Ken Corpron, BAP program integrity analyst; Guy Ewing, a seafood processing specialist; Jeff Peterson, BAP program integrity advisor; and Avery Siciliano, BAP program integrity specialist.
Candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible as participants are admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

A division of the Global Aquaculture Alliance, Best Aquaculture Practices is an international certification program based on achievable, science-based and continuously improved performance standards for the entire aquaculture supply chain — farms, hatcheries, processing plants and feed mills — that assure healthful foods produced through environmentally and socially responsible means. BAP certification is based on independent audits that evaluate compliance with the BAP standards developed by the Global Aquaculture Alliance.
