We need to make better use of co-products or by-products. There are opportunities to make use of undervalued products or waste streams or to improve the nutritive and economical values of existing feed ingredients. In his presentation at Aquafeed Horizons Asia next month, Dr. Dominique Bureau will discuss several recent attempts made at the University of Guelph, Belgium, to study the effectiveness of simple and potentially cost-effective techniques for processing feedstuffs of plant, microbial and animal origins prior to their incorporation in animal feeds. In the presentation he will talk about the perspectives and pitfalls of these approaches.

Dr. Bureau is among several presenters who will discuss solutions to the challenges aquafeed producers are facing in finding and working with non-traditional feed ingredients.

Aquafeed Horizons Asia takes place at the BITEC, Bangkok, March 29, 2016. Places are limited and pre-registration is required for a confirmed place.
