Registration open for winter session of AFIA online feed manufacturing course

AFIA has opened registration for its online feed manufacturing course, conducted in partnership with Kansas State University from Feb. 11 – April 1, 2019. The five-week, \"AFIA 500: Fundamentals of Feed Manufacturing\" distance education program covers a variety of topics, including: the process flow from particle size reduction, to batching and mixing, conditioning and pelleting, boilers, post-pellet systems, packaging and loadout, and maintenance.

The American Feed Industry Association has opened registration for the winter session of “AFIA/KSU 500: Fundamentals of Feed Manufacturing,” an online course conducted in partnership with Kansas State University. The five-week education course will take place Feb. 11 – April 1, 2019. 

The AFIA 500 course provides students with an in-depth overview of the feed manufacturing process and tips they can use at their facilities for improving facility safety, quality and maintenance. It covers a variety of topics, including: the process flow from particle size reduction, to batching and mixing, conditioning and pelleting, boilers, post-pellet systems, packaging and loadout, and maintenance. 

Students can work at their own pace from the comfort of their home or office, while engaging in online discussions with their peers from around the world and course professors.
