Texas A&M University opens registration for feeds and pet food extrusion course

The 32nd edition of the annual course will be presented from January 30 to February 3 at Texas A&M University by industry stakeholders.

The 32nd Practical Short Course on Feeds and Pet Food Extrusion will be presented from January 30 to February 3 at Texas A&M University in a hybrid format by staff, industry representatives, and consultants.

The program will cover information on different extrusion systems such as dry extruders, expanders, single and twin-screw extruders, new feed mills design, selecting conveying, drying, grinding, conditioning, and feed mixing equipment.

Topics such as current practices for the production of pet foods, preparing full-fat soy meal, recycling byproducts and secondary resources, spraying and coating fats, digests, and preservatives, use of encapsulated ingredients, and preparation of premixes will be also reviewed in the training.

Participants can register online and reservations will be accepted on a first-come basis.
