Presentations are invited from commercially-driven algae researchers, producers, water process engineers and equipment companies related presentations - methods and markets

The next National Algae Association\'s Algae Production Workshop will focus on commercial production methods and markets for nutraceuticals (astaxathin), feeds, food and the sequestration of CO2.Commercially-driven researchers, producers, equipment companies and private industry are invited to make presentations, collaborate and share commercial algae production information. (ie,  cultivation, harvesting and extraction technologies that have been proven and scalable outside the lab).

Below are some of the topics planned:.

A. Nutraceuticals: Growing HP for Astaxanthin

~ 1. Crack or don\'t crack stressed dried material.

~ 2. Which drying method oxidizes the least astaxanthin.

3. Does it make more sense to sell HP directly to an extractor or contract for oleoresin extraction     and sell astaxanthin.

4. How do you stress (many levels here)

~ a. In the growth container or in a separate system

~ b. How long, when do you know you are done without an GC/MS analysis

5. Cattle Feed - Algae as a cattle-feed supplement

6.  Fish Feed - Using high protein strains.

7.  Food - Growing, harvesting  and markets for Spirulina

8.. Sequestration of CO2 at coal-fired and cement plants.
