Why Uganda?
Uganda, known as the "Pearl of Africa," is an emerging hub for aquaculture in East Africa, with both large-scale ventures on Lake Victoria and a thriving small to medium (SME) scale sector driving sustainable fish production and aquafeed supply chains. Recognizing this potential, major aquafeed factories are being established in the country. WA25 will highlight this growth with an expected 150 exhibition booths. Beyond aquaculture, Uganda offers rich tourism experiences, from wildlife safaris and gorilla trekking to cultural explorations in Kampala and Entebbe, making it an exciting destination for international visitors.
The WA25 conference will take place from June 24-29, 2025 at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Entebbe. For more information and inquiries on WA25 Uganda contact worldaqua@was.org.
