Geelen Counterflow and Prarie Aquatech were the 2019 winners of the Aquafeed Innovation Awards, for Technology and Ingredients respectively. Judges were most impressed with the cost savings afforded by the electric dryer from Geelen Counterflow and Prairie Aquactech's ME-PRO - one of the few alternative proteins to be commercially available. The awards were presented during Victam International, the feed industry trade show, taking place June 12-14, 2019.

"Aquafeed.com is proud to honor the achievements and contribution of the allied industries to the advancement of aquafeed development with the Aquafeed Innovation Award\", publisher Suzi Dominy said. "And this year we again have two worthy winners".

Entries need to show significant benefit to the manufacture of aquafeed in terms of innovation, efficiency, profitability, safety or sustainability. The award is judged by an independent panel of judges from Asia, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

Thes award winning products will be features in the July issue of the Aquafeed magazine.
