Aquasoja’s seabass feed range Labrax is now available as floating pellets. Labrax is a high nutrient-dense solution for seabass industrial farming, that requires precise feeding. This product has been in the market for many years now, with very successful results in seabass production.
It is well-known that seabass can handle higher energy levels in the feed than seabream, translating it into growth with FCR improvements. Still, adequate feeding protocols remain necessary. Following seabass carnivorous feeding habits, Labrax is characterized by good inclusion levels of animal and/or marine ingredients (depending on the product type, Orange or Blue) that constitute a protein profile of high biological value for this species.
LABRAX is now available as floating and sinking pellets, in order to suit different production systems, and is offered from a 3-mm diameter pellet onwards.
“The 3-mm pellet is also a recent add-on to our product portfolio, and it is ideal for the transition period between the pre-ongrowing and ongrowing stages. Indeed, to smooth this passage and to better support seabass juveniles in the late pre-ongrowing stage, this product is formulated for optimum digestible protein and digestible energy and includes a robust package of functional ingredients oriented to the prevention of bacterial and parasitic infections and the enhancement of the hepatic function, positively impacting feed digestibility and nutrients absorption. Additionally, these feeds incorporate highly palatable marine ingredients in order to promote feed intake,” the company said.
