Aquasoja started some years ago to develop research on functional feeds aiming to add value to the sale of fish products. CROMA was the first one. Officially launched in 2018, CROMA is a functional feed targeted to enhance the natural skin colors of gilthead seabream before harvesting. 

In the market for three years now, Croma has been coloring seabream grown in ponds and cages, thanks to vegetable and marine ingredients that are rich sources of natural pigments, mainly xantophylls, which also act as effective attractant and flavoring agents. 

“Aquasoja recommends different feeding strategies according to the production system and season of the year. With CROMA intense colors can be achieved making a farmed typical greyish seabream closer to a wild colorful specimen,” the company said.
