Betagro commissions aquafeed and poultry feed plants
Thai agro-industrial conglomerate, Betagro Group, has commissioned two feed mills at its food-production complex in Lop Buri province. CEO Vanus Taepaisitphongse said the 1.06 billion baht (approximatedly US$30 million) investment would enable the company to achieve international standards of quality and safety in the animal-feed industry.
The petfood and aquafeed plant will target local food and ornamental aquaculture operations and pet shops. It will have an initial capacity of 8,000 tonnes a month, with the potential to double in the future.
The 45,000 tonnes per month poultry feed plant will operate under BTG Feed Mill and will serve the group's integrated poultry operations and local farmers and raise the group's 30,000 tonnes export volume to Cambodia and Laos by 2,500 tonnes a year.
