Bioterrorism Act Compliance, Part II Webcast
Thursday, June 2, 2005, 2-4pm (EDT)
from AFIA Headquarters

AFIA is offering its members and interested non-members the opportunity to participate in AFIA's next Webcast Technical Symposium.

The issue is the release of FDA's last two sets of final rules implementing the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism and Response Act of 2002, commonly called the "Bioterrorism Act."

The program will feature AFIA staff and an attorney from AFIA's legal counsel office, Mr. Bob Hahn, who made presentations in the first webcast on this issue.

AFIA will be detailing what to expect and how to comply with the administrative detention and recordkeeping final rules. Prior to the broadcast, each registered participant will be sent a compliance guide. Questions may be submitted by the participants before, during or after the webcast. This webcast will be approximately 2 hours in length.

To register, click on the following link and complete the Bioterrorism Act II Webcast registration form at least two days before the broadcast. The price is $179 for AFIA members; $359 for non-members to cover the two-hour broadcast. The broadcast will be recorded by AFIA and archived online for use at other times. This price is per downlink site (computer). A CD-ROM of the broadcast is included in the registration cost.

Participants will be given a login id, password and webcast address after confirmation of payment. AFIA recommends that you utilize your computer's speakers to listen to the webcast. If this isn't possible, a toll free number will be provided.

Additional webcast instructions, as well as a link to test your computer's ability to connect to the webcast server will be provided following registration. AFIA is utilizing a premiere webcasting company and looks forward to a very smooth, informative production.

Webcasting makes use of several technologies at once and reduces costs considerably by saving travel and time costs to get to meetings. AFIA is utilizing this new technology with increasing frequency to detail technical and regulatory information.
