The ALLER AQUA group is upgrading its Research & Development department: Florian Nagel, an aquafeed nutritionist, becomes new Research Manager of the newly founded ALLER AQUA Research GmbH.

Florian Nagel started as biologist, with main focus in fisheries science and aquaculture. After doctoral examination at the University of Goettingen, he became Research Associate at the Thuenen-Institute of Fisheries Ecology, operating in stock assessment and management of diadromous fish species as well as in reproduction and nutrition of carp, perch, eel and trout.

Most recently, Nagel has deepened his experience in fish nutrition including raw materials evaluation, design of sustainable aqua feeds, digestibility and feeding experiments, energy requirement and stress physiology of different species. With his wealth of expertise Nagel is now executing ALLER AQUA’s research plan.
