Peru's "exploratory" fishing regime, set to end today, has been extended indefinitely in the North/centre region.

The International Fishmeal and Fishoil Organisation reports that  fish caught during this fishing period would be included into the quota which is to be set by IMARPE. It is generally considered that this quota will be established between 2.0 and 2.5 million tonnes.
