Feed Expo Hits the Final Stretch

 

If you are planning to attend the 2008 International Feed Expo and International Poultry Expo, January 23-25, 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, make sure you mark the following off your checklist before January 4, 2008 pre-registration deadline

 

1. Register for the 2008 International Feed Expo and International Poultry Expo.

IFE and IPE will be held from January 23-25, Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta. Register online and save $10 by visiting www.ipe08.org and click on Attendee navigation button, then Attendee Registration. The pre-registration fees will be $30 (USD) for online registration and $40 (USD) for registration via mail or fax. After January 5, 2008 you will have to buy your Expo pass at the door for $50 (USD).

 

2. Hear from U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary

U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez has just been added to the IFE/IPE speaker roster. He will speak on Jan. 24, 10:30 a.m. in C102 of the Georgia World Congress Center. His presentation, “Keeping our Economy Strong through International Trade”, will focus on economic concerns, free trade agreements, and the farm bill.

 

3. Plan on attending our exceptional educational events.

One day prior to the IFE & IPE, AFIA and the Poultry, Protein & Fat Council will be co-hosting a one-day seminar on pet food ingredient quality on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Georgia World Congress Center. For program highlights please visit www.petfoodconference.com. To attend the Conference on Pet Food Ingredient Quality, you must register to attend the 2008 IFE and IPE. Registration also includes admittance to the Expos. AFIA has also lined up Dr. Robert Shoop of Kansas State University, William Pfister, President of Safety Training and Consulting, Inc. and Richard Sellers of the American Feed Industry Association to speak on Wednesday, January 23 and Thursday, January 24, 8 – 10 a.m. at the Feed Manufacturing Program.

 

4. Make a hotel reservation with Wyndham Jade.

Reservations can be made online www.wynjade.com/poultry07/index.cfm or by calling (international: 972-349-7645 or domestic: 800-480-4364) to reserve your hotel room, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. CST, Monday - Friday. The hotels listed below will have complimentary shuttle service available to and from the International Poultry Expo and International Feed Expo, scheduled Jan. 23-25 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga.

The International Feed Expo and International Poultry Expo have also arranged the new Drive and Save option for the 2008 show. The Drive and Save option allows attendees to choose either driving or taking the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit rail system to the Georgia World Congress Center. The Drive and Save hotels are not on the shuttle route. The Drive and Save hotels are:
