At the beginning of 2018, Enorm Biofactory moved into a chicken farm to establish an industrial production of black doldier fly larvae to be used for fish feed and pigs. The company has invested DKK30 million in the establishment of Denmark's first insect farm which is in production now. A new process plant is under construction and $250 million will be invested in a full-scale plant with a production capacity of 100 tons of larvae each day.

Carsten Lind Pedersen, director of Enorm Biofactory, tells Børsen that the company is now ready for investors. “In 2023, we expect to have an annual turnover of around DKK150 million with an operating profit of DKK50 million, which will be a pretty good business,” said Lind Pedersen to the newspaper.

The company partnered with Aller Aqua to develop and test products suitable for trout farming in 2018.
