Large quantities of fish oil was spilled at Cargill’s EWOS salmon feed plant in Florø, Western Norway. Local news initially reported a 100,000 liters-spill but the company confirmed a final 10,000-12,000 liters-leak.
The Florø feed facility is one of Cargill’s three modern factories in Norway, together with Halsa at the mid-northern region in Nordland and Bergneset in the north which is Cargill’s northern-most location globally.
