GUATEMALA - ARECA obtains GLOBALG.A.P. Compound Feed Manufacturing certification with Quality Certification Services

Aves Reproductoras de Centroamerica S.A. (ARECA), part of Grupo PAF founded in 1958, is the first Guatemalan feed mill to obtain GLOBALG.A.P. Compound Feed Manufacturing (CFM) certification for the production of its aquaculture feeds of shrimp and tilapia. 

Founded in 1958, Group PAF was started by Domingo Moreira who arrived from Cuba with the ideals of improving the diet of the people in Guatemala by providing high quality products of high nutritional value and creating jobs in the country. Group PAF started with creating a poultry business and, today, they work with 14 independent businesses and more than 4,000 collaborators to provide high quality products to Guatemala households

“To be GLOBALG.A.P. certified demonstrates our commitment to warrant the quality of the aquaculture feeds we manufacture to our clients. Moreover, this opens the door to new international markets. We are all very proud of having obtained this certification as it is one of the best recognized worldwide,” said Servando Benavides, Director of Production at ARECA.
