An Expert Working Group of the International Cooperation for Convergence of Technical Requirements for the Assessment of Feed Ingredients (ICCF), composed of experts drawn from the ICCF founding members, has developed a new guidance document on Identification and characterization of feed ingredients. The ICCF Steering Committee adopted the draft guidance document and accompanying checklist for public consultation on April 29, 2022.
The public consultation on the guidance document Identification and characterization and accompanying check list is now open for comments by interested stakeholders until June 30, 2022.
The draft guidance document provides recommendations to applicants for relevant information on identifying and characterizing their feed ingredients necessary for its evaluation. It provides recommendations for the different types of feed ingredients, as described in the published guidance document on Manufacturing Process and Specifications.
The draft ICCF guidance document, accompanying check list and feedback documents can be downloaded here. Stakeholders are invited to provide their comments using the template supplied by June 30, 2022 via email to secretariat@iccffeed.org.
