Lord Sebastian Coe, President of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) is to be keynote speaker at this year’s AquaVision conference, in Stavanger, Norway, from 13 to 15 June.
‘Meeting tomorrow today’ is the theme for AquaVision 2016, which will concentrate on two core areas: ‘The blue revolution’ and ‘Beyond tomorrow’, with debates focusing on the challenges and opportunities facing the aquaculture industry today and in the future.
Lord Coe, a former Olympic and European champion, led London’s winning bid to host the 2012 Olympics and subsequently organised and delivered one of the most successful Games of modern times.
He will share with AquaVision delegates the benefits of building resilient and dependable teams from a variety of backgrounds, emphasizing the importance of delivering on visions, communicating pre-emptively, and ensuring nothing is left to chance. Above all, he will underline that no amount of theorizing replaces the genius of hard work.
AquaVision attracts a diverse range of stakeholders to Stavanger every two years. Organised since 1996 by Skretting and its parent company Nutreco, it has established itself as an important meeting place for some 400 participants from over 40 countries.
