Raub, a district in the Malaysian city of Pahang, is set to benefit from a new aquaculture and agriculture center, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) earlier this year.

The MOU was signed by integrated water treatment specialist, Ronser Bio-Tech, Casabrina Vacation Villas, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and Japan’s Asia Water Business Consultant (AWBC) to build the new center at the resort in Raub. The university and AWBC will be the technology partners on the project.

Green technology will be a strong focus for the center with Ronser CEO, Dr. Pua Eng Teck, saying that it will use the Mass Bio System it developed, as well as leveraging AWBC’s nano technology and SJTU’s expertise in developing environmentally friendly technology for aquaculture and agriculture.
