New Marketing Manager at Nofima Marine

Anders Trømborg is the new Marketing Manager at Nofima Marine, and will work with the sales and marketing of R&D projects in the area of aquaculture and fisheries.

Trømborg’s main responsibilities at Nofima Marine will include the establishment, coordination and financing of R&D projects. 

“It is difficult to describe my role, but it is similar to acting as a catalyst vis-à-vis research groups and companies,” explains Trømborg. “Many researchers have good contacts and know how to establish their own projects, but in some cases there is a lack of funding or contracts that can facilitate the process. This is where I hope to make a contribution. Of course, I also hope to pull in large-scale strategic projects for Nofima Marine on a national and international level.”

Anders Trømborg comes to Nofima Marine from a position at the edible micro-ingredients company G.O. Johnsen where he worked with sales and business development. He can boast similar experience from positions at Orkla and the former Matforsk (now a part of Nofima). This has given him valuable experience in cooperating closely with industry, trade organizations and public policy system. He has an educational background in food science from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences.

“Trømborg’s education combined with his experience in sales and marketing for research and industry makes his expertise extremely valuable for an industry-oriented research institute such as Nofima,” says Camilla Røsjø, Managing Director of Nofima Marine.
