Addressing the ongoing need of shrimp producers to optimize results, Nicovita introduced INICIO N, a system specifically designed to strengthen the critical early stage of shrimp farming, which is vital for their survival and growth.

The first weeks of shrimp farming are decisive for the success of the entire production cycle. Providing proper nutrition during the initial 30 days can significantly impact shrimp survival and performance, laying the groundwork for an efficient and sustainable harvest.

“Our responsibility to the present and future of the industry drives us to focus our efforts on this initial stage, as good management today ensures a more sustainable industry tomorrow,” said Carlos Quispe, country manager of Vitapro in Ecuador.

The four pillars of the INICIO N System

High-quality larvae: Nicovita, in partnership with Acuatecsa de Texcumar, has entered into a strategic agreement to develop innovative protocols for managing and producing larvae. This collaboration includes advanced research, pre-nursery trials, and monitoring key indicators, ensuring larvae with improved survival and growth performance, as well as nutritional, productive, and genetic traceability.

Advanced initial feed portfolio: The portfolio, specifically designed and refined for the start of shrimp farming, features high-nutritional-value solutions and functional ingredient packages that boost shrimp survival and growth. These feeds are characterized by uniform particles that ensure consistent nutrient absorption.

Specialized technical advisory services: Technical advisory is a cornerstone of the system. Nicovita's team of experts provides precise diagnostics, designs customized plans tailored to each farm’s production strategy and implements comprehensive health and management protocols to maximize resource efficiency. This support results in personalized solutions that account for the unique characteristics of each farm and its production environment.

Advanced technology and data analysis: With mobile automated feeding systems and digital monitoring tools, INICIO N enables precision feeding, reducing waste and optimizing farming efficiency.

Strengthening shrimp health from the start not only enhances disease resistance and reduces waste but also optimizes nutrient use, minimizing environmental impact and improving profitability.

“Adapting to new market challenges means providing robust and cost-efficient solutions. INICIO N exemplifies how we can drive more sustainable and profitable production from the earliest stages of farming,” said Kristel Méndez, marketing manager.
