Novus International announces force majeure

Katrina hits feed ingredient supplier, forces cut-back in delivering orders
September 9, 2005

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, effective immediately, Novus International, Inc. is declaring Force Majeure for export shipments due to limited production resulting from shortages of raw materials, difficulties in securing adequate export transportation, and disruption of supporting infrastructure.  Due to the current circumstances, Novus says it will limit international deliveries to 50% of the contracted volume.

For the U.S. and Canada, Novus has implemented an 8 cents per pound surcharge to offset higher costs.

Novus representative will be in contact with customers as they manage through this difficult time.
