Skretting Chile unveiled a new diet to enhance the growth of Coho salmon during ongrowing stages in seawater. Silver Fast is specially developed to maximize the performance thanks to an improved formulation that allows the nutrients incorporated in the diet to be used more efficiently, in addition to a greater energy contribution.

“This is a fast-growing species, which takes around eight months to reach a commercial size, therefore, it needs a diet with a different nutritional profile than Atlantic salmon. Silver Fast is a nutritional solution that seeks to maximize the potential of Coho salmon through specific nutritional criteria for this species, together with a greater energy intake, vitamins and minerals, complemented by the use of nutrients that help improve the absorption and mobilization of lipids, optimizing the production process. This obtains even better results than with its predecessor, Premium Coho diet,” said Enzo Carabante, product manager Grow-out Diets & Medicated Feed at Skretting Chile.

Chile is one of the main producers of Coho salmon worldwide and this new diet was developed by the local Skretting team, meeting the needs of the species to adapt to the environmental conditions of southern Chile.
