The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment has published the call for aid for research in the National Aquaculture Plans for an amount of EUR 2 million in the Official Gazette.
Public research organizations, public universities, instrumental public entities of the autonomous public sector developing R & D + i and technology centers and those supporting technological innovation of public and state level character will be able to request these aids.
These entities will have to form groups to develop projects, which have to have a marked innovative character and a collective interest, and with a maximum duration of two years.
The purpose of these grants is to strengthen the competitiveness of the sector through the development of technical, scientific or organizational knowledge in aquaculture farms.
The projects must involve the participation of two or more entities belonging to different Autonomous Communities and will have to include, among their activities, the validation or testing in one or more companies in the product, equipment, process, technology or management system or organization intended to be developed.
Through these projects, the following topics will be addressed, having special interest for the aquaculture sector: environment, life cycle and new species, processes, management and organizational systems and economic aspects of production.
