The Royal Norwegian Society for Development recognized Terje Sæther contribution to aquaculture and he has been awarded the medal for Long and Faithfull Service.
Terje Sæther has worked for BioMar Norway in positions within R&D and marketing for more than 30 years and this year sees him entering retirement. Terje is well recognized across the BioMar world for his contributions to the development and promotion of some of BioMar’s well-respected products and brands. In 1992, he spearheaded Bio-Optimal the first in the revolutionary growth-feeds before developing BioMar’s first range of preventive health-feeds called SMARTfeed. He was also part of the creation of BioSustain, the aquaculture industry’s first feed sustainability program and more recently BioMar’s Pigment Performance Technology. Terje started as marketing manager in 1988 and was an important contributor in building the company dedicated to aquaculture feeds that we know today as BioMar Norway.
“Over the last 30 years, Terje has been a valued member of the BioMar family and he has become an important part of the Norwegian aquaculture industry. While his retirement and this recognition for his life’s work is well deserved, we at BioMar will miss his valuable contributions and leadership of thought,” the company said.
