Two people have been reported dead and four critically injured in an accident at International Nutrition\'s Omaha, Nebraska, feedmill on Monday. The company produces feed for all species, including aquaculture.
There were 38 people at the plant at the time of the incident, interim Omaha fire Chief Bernard Kanger told reporters. Ten injured people were taken to hospital, four were described as in critical condition.
Seven other people were treated at the scene, he said.
Kanger said a significant event had occurred, causing catastrophic failure of the structure. The second and third stories of the facility collapsed, sending tens of thousands of pieces of concrete, steel and sheet metal pounding through to the first floor.
