Women in Ag group formed
The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has founded a new council for women executives involved in agriculture.
The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has founded a new council for women executives involved in agriculture. The new group, aptly named, Women in Ag Council, was created in response to several requests for such an organization. A preliminary meeting was held in conjunction with last month’s Purchasing/Ingredient Suppliers Conference in Orlando.
Those attending the charter meeting acted quickly in setting the foundation for the new group. By-laws are being drafted and plans developed to recruit potential members. Purposes of the Council include networking, mentoring, and education as well as other issues.
