Oxiris Chemicals introduced a new aqueous dispersion of BHT, IONOL® AQUA50. The new product has been specifically designed for human and animal nutrition and is safe for all species.

IONOL® AQUA50 contains a high concentration of small-sized antioxidants dispersed in an aqueous medium, therefore, it requires a lower dosage than other products to obtain the same results. This product can be added to different types of products, both in oil-based and aqueous formulations.

The protection of feed ingredients with antioxidants is essential to ensure the correct nutrition of the animal, prevent color fading and flavor changes of the ingredients and preserve the freshness, and nutritional value of the feed formulations.

The suspension of ethoxyquin as an antioxidant by the European Food Safety Authority has highlighted the need to have more safe alternatives to protect feed against oxidation processes.
