French feed additive manufacturer, Phodé, unveiled a new range of aquafeed additives. Olpheel range aims to support performance and animal welfare in aquaculture through stress reduction, supporting the animal’s natural defenses and metabolism, or stimulating appetite and feed intake.
Combining a specific olfactory mode of action and plant extracts synergies, the new range reduces, for example, mortality during transportation, contributes to parasite risk management, or supports the antioxidant status.
“The Olpheel range is the first range totally dedicated to performance and animal well-being in aquaculture. It’s a complete range to answer the variety of challenges encountered in aquaculture and initially focuses on shrimp and salmonids, with adapted formulations to each species,” said Amine Chaabane, species & product manager – aquaculture at Phodé.
The additives are developed on innovative technological galenics to meet the feed manufacturing requirements. Olpheel will be distributed worldwide.
Phodé Laboratories develops neurosensorial solutions and are experts in plant extracts and olfaction-brain-gut interactions.
