This week, ADM Animal Nutrition announced the appointment of Samson Li as president of the company, and released a new protein ingredient for aquatic feeds called PROPLEX® T. 

Composed of dried fermentation biomass, PROPLEX T provides a consistent source of digestible protein and high levels of essential amino acids for aquaculture diets. PROPLEX T has proven to be a successful replacement for other protein sources, such as fish meal, in diets for fish and shrimp. 

“PROPLEX T is a cost-effective protein source that can be used in place of expensive or variable protein products,” said Dr. John Bowzer, aquaculture research scientist for ADM. “Additionally, PROPLEX T provides feed manufacturers with added flexibility in formulations due to its high protein content and favorable amino acid profile.”

The new product was released at the Aquaculture America conference in Las Vegas. It\'s release coincided with another announcement from the ADM about its new president Mr. Li, who previously served as managing director of the Asian business unit and as a member of the Executive Committee for Nutreco, where he led the company’s expansion in the Asian animal and fish feed markets.
