Alicorp’s Animal Nutrition Division owned by the Romero Group has been brought under the Vitapro name in Ecuador, Peru and Chile.

In 2012 Alicorp acquired the Chilean feed producer Salmofood, and thus added another species (salmon) to its already booming shrimp feed business in Latin and Central America. Annual sales of the Animal Nutrition Division of Alicorp are already in excess of USD 500 million. Salmofood SA, now renamed Vitapro Chile SA, will maintain its company vision of providing personalized cost effective production with highly specialized technical consultancy. Vitapro Chile SA has an annual production capacity of 180,000 MT of feed, and a 10 percent market share in Chile.
