ANDRITZ Feed & Biofuel appointed Marco Baumann as vice president Business Unit Capital. Marco was previously Animal Feed Industry director within the company, where he was instrumental in establishing ANDRITZ as the go-to strategic partner for plant solutions for feed producers around the globe.
A native of South Africa, who studied business economics in Switzerland, Marco’s 30 years of experience in plant engineering have given him the in-depth knowledge and experience required to master the complex challenges the feed and biofuel industries are facing today. Marco's goal is to continue to position ANDRITZ Feed & Biofuel at the forefront of global issues, addressing challenges such as feeding a growing population. In addition, he will strive to build long-term relationships with customers, enabling ANDRITZ to realize its vision of sustainability and success.
“ANDRITZ is a company that is ever-evolving, and to be a part of that evolution is an opportunity I take very seriously,” said Baumann. “At present, we face fundamental challenges in terms of feeding the global population and addressing environmental issues such as reducing CO2 emissions. They must be faced head-on, and we are uniquely placed as a business to make a tangible impact – from pioneering the process changes required to use alternative proteins in feed, to optimizing biomass fuel production. Our customers trust our expertise, knowledge and capability to deliver plant solutions of all sizes, and our strategy is one of continuous improvement – advancing our ability to deliver even greater benefits going forward.”
Striving to innovate process technology, invest in R&D, and concentrate on the optimization of traditional feed chain and biomass production are fundamental to this approach. Examples of this in action will be available to view in person at VICTAM Asia, held at the Impact Exhibition Center, Bangkok, Thailand, from September 7-9, 2022. Marco will be available to discuss individual needs and requirements at booth 1910.
