Aquaconnect is entering into aquaculture biological research and production with an investment of USD 4.5 million. The company is setting up advanced R&D and production facilities in Gujarat to drive innovation in aquaculture formulations, news agency PTI reported.
Aquaconnect is in talks with biotech companies in the EU and the US to collaborate on developing formulations tailored to Indian aquaculture needs, leveraging global research expertise.
“Expanding into farm care biologicals is a natural step for us as an integrated technology platform. We’re committing long-term capital to push the boundaries of aquaculture biologicals research,” Rajamanohar, CEO of Aquaconnect, said.
The company plans to use a data-driven approach to accelerate product validation, optimizing field parameters and sharing key insights with its R&D teams. Aquaconnect aims to offer formulations focused on nutrition, water quality management, biosecurity and disease control, customized for India’s varied aquaculture environments.
