ARCO has become a partner of Feed Design Lab, a Dutch practical research and education center for innovation and sustainability in the animal feed sector. The center completed its new animal feed production line with the latest and most innovative equipment to conduct research into raw materials, recipes and technology. ARCO shared its expertise by adding a flash off conveyor to the state-of-the-art production line. With the partnership with Feed Design Lab, ARCO wants to contribute to innovation in sustainable technology throughout the sector.

ARCO developed an innovative flash off conveyor that collects hot and oily granules, transporting them in a controlled manner with minimal grain breakage. In addition, a module installed on the conveyor belt takes temperature and gases from the granules very quickly so that they do not stick. The conveyor belt was specially tailored for the Feed Design Lab.

“With this collaboration, we created a network of initiators for the animal feed sector. It is great that cooperation and knowledge sharing between companies are getting a boost. We are convinced that the animal feed sector will be strengthened over time. As ARCO we are happy to contribute to this,” said Paul Albers, account manager Industry, Recycling & Bulk at ARCO.
