Prepared under the rigorous Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, the report outlines the company’s commitments across corporate governance, human rights, occupational health and safety, environmental responsibility, supplier engagement, and social initiatives.

In the area of health and nutrition, Austral Group contributed to the “Armada de Hierro” program, led by the Peruvian National Fisheries Society. The initiative aims to combat anemia in children under age three through screenings, nutritional monitoring, and donations of fresh fish to grassroots organizations and vulnerable populations.

General Manager Adriana Giudice noted that in 2024, the company continued its Tu Futuro program, which granted training scholarships and job placement support to over 100 young people. It also supported the formalization of artisanal fishers and bay workers in Coishco and Callao, helping them secure their operating licenses.

Through its environmental program Net Positiva, nearly 207,000 tons of fishing nets were repurposed, avoiding an estimated 256,520 kg of CO₂eq emissions. Additional efforts included the Eco-School initiative and the installation of the Uayki digital library at the Eduardo Ferrick School in Coishco (Áncash).

“2024 marked the beginning of our recovery after the 2023 fisheries crisis. Beyond strong operational results, it was a year where we strengthened our long-term vision by generating meaningful positive impact in the communities we serve,” said Giudice. She also highlighted the excellent status of the anchovy biomass, estimated at 10 million tons according to IMARPE’s 2025 summer research cruise.

Finally, the executive emphasized that one point of great pride for the company is having been recognized as the first fishing company to receive four stars on the "Huella de Carbono" Perú platform, promoted by the Ministry of the Environment (Minam).

In 2024, Austral Group became the first fishing company in Latin America to certify its Sustainable Procurement model based on ISO 20400. This certification, granted by AENOR, reaffirms the company’s commitment to its value chain and the integration of ESG criteria in its purchasing processes.
