Barentz International will be expanding its activities in North America. The company entered into an agreement to acquire Pestell Nutrition.
Pestell Nutrition, headquartered in New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada, has a significant position in Canada and a fast-growing expansion into the US animal nutrition market. The company reached an annual turnover of approximately €200 million in 2020. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions including merger control clearances.
The acquisition follows other acquisitions, such as Noack Group, and accelerates the strategic positioning of the Barentz Group towards animal health while establishing the animal nutrition vertical globally. Further growth is expected, especially in the US market.
